works to empower all people in the community to live free from all forms of violence, abuse and oppression

Porirua Living Without Violence is currently operating at COVID-19 Alert System Level 2.

  1. Do you have flu like symptoms or have symptoms of fever or cough, or sore throat or shortness of breath?

What we do:

  • We work to eliminate violence and to promote safety for women and children
  • We support, educate and empower women and men who have ever been affected by violence or abuse 
  • We provide education groups for men and women who have used violence in their families

How we do it:

  • By providing Empower Programmes and Behaviour Change Programmes for Women
  • By providing Behaviour Change Programmes for Men and a Men's Individual Support and Education Programme
  • By providing educational programmes for Children
